The 19th Annual Orange County Children's Book Festival invited Brian Pothier and I to perform on October 2nd, on their “Entertainment Stage.”

Last year, a co-founder of the Orange County Children’s Book Festival, Pat Burns, asked me to write a song to accompany an important new learning initiative called “STEAM: Race to Space Reading Challenge” (STEAM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics). So, I enlisted the help of my better half, John Diggins, and we wrote a song we called “Read, Read, Read.” It was a hit with the STEAM team, and Pat asked us to perform it at this year’s Book Festival.

You can check out our song, which was produced and recorded by Brian, here: https://www.readsteam.org/teacher-resources And ya gotta check out some of the authors, illustrators, filmmakers, actors, scientists, engineers and entertainers that participated in this year's festival: https://www.kidsbookfestival.com

It was fun to open for this super cool all-female Country/Americana quintet “Mustangs of The West” on August 10th at Campus Jax in Newport Beach. They featured songs from their album “Time,” which was released on Blue Elan Records during the lock down, and songs from their newest double album on KZZ Music with a release later this year. This show was cancelled in 2020 and I was excited that they asked me back.

Yvonne Perea, Michelle Mangione & I teamed up to rock Roxanne's in Long Beach on Sunday, July 3rd along with our fantastic band mates John Thomas, Bill Cinque, Steve Soest, Angela Riggio & Nicole Falzone. What a great musical experience. We all had a blast!

The girls, Trish Burke Manser, Tricia Freeman and I, along with our fantastic band mates Brian Pothier, Trent Stroh, Michelle Mangione, Buzzy James, Kenny Hale, Mike Cowden and Dave Goode rocked the Gaslamp on April 30th with our second "Women Who Rock" show. So glad y'all made it out, cuz damn, we had a blast! Maybe there's a third WWR show in our future. Fingers crossed!

Was looking forward to Jodi Siegel's Project Barley Songwriter Showcase on Tuesday, January 18th. Joel Rafael, Freebo, Alice Howe, and I would have been Jodi's guest, but due to covid we had to cancel. I'll keep you posted on the rescheduled date.
